Job summary

Hyatt Grand Hyatt Washington in downtown Washington, D.C. is seeking an intermediate level Cook to support our banquet and restaurant kitchens. You will collaborate with a professional culinary team and cover shifts from 5:00am to 11:30pm, including weekends and holidays.

The role offers hourly compensation with a starting rate of $23.22 per hour, rising to $26.08 after six months, plus a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities within the Hyatt family.

Qualifications

• Refined verbal communication skills.
• Candidate should be able to perform all cooking skills.
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to move quickly and adjust as business dictates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute cooking tasks in banquet and/or restaurant kitchen.
• Support a professional culinary team in a busy hotel setting.
• Be flexible to work any day, including weekends and holidays, between 5:00am and 11:30pm.

This intermediate level Cook position requires good communication and culinary skills. The desired candidate will have professional cooking experience, knowledge of cooking ingredients, and procedures. This person will have a critical role in our Banquet and/or Restaurant kitchen. We are looking for someone with the flexibility to work any day of the week including weekends and holidays, any time between 5:00am - 11:30pm.

The hourly rate for this position is $23.22, increasing to $26.08 after six months.
