Job summary

The Beverly Hills Hotel, a Dorchester Collection property, seeks a Cook 1 to join its luxury dining team at 9641 Sunset Blvd, Beverly Hills. You will support multiple culinary outlets, preparing ingredients, maintaining station cleanliness, and contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfil cleaning tasks occasionally.
Physical stamina to lift up to 50lbs (23kg).
Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
English is the primary language in the hotel and effective communication is essential.
Experience in food service or hospitality is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients for cooking, set-up, clean-up and break down work station.
Wash and disinfect kitchen area including tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing.
Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
Assist all culinary outlets as needed and work every station in the kitchen.
Partner with Supervisor to achieve daily challenges and maintain efficient workflow.
Prepare and cook food to ensure guests receive the best experience.
Handle special dietary requests and offer menu suggestions or new dishes for occasions.
Communicate with other departments to ensure alignment and smooth operations.
