Job summary

Sierra View Country Club in Roseville, CA is seeking a full-time Cook to prepare a variety of menu items for restaurant and banquet events, serving members and guests with quality and consistency.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, prior breakfast cook experience, and the ability to work early mornings starting at 6:00am, including weekends and holidays. Training and advancement opportunities exist within Troon’s global hospitality platform.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or equivalent.
• Experienced breakfast cook preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares sufficient quantities of food according to production plan.
• Utilizes whole food products and minimizes waste.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation in assigned areas.
• Alerts chef or supervisor to equipment issues, shortages, or overages.
• Requisitions inventory and receives supplies for daily production.
• Ensures proper storage, dating and rotation of food items.
• Follow safe work practices in performance of duties.

We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Compensation: $21.00 -$23.00 per hour

General Purpose:

Prepares various food products for restaurant and banquet operations, guest consumption and enjoyment.

• Prepares sufficient quantities of food product in accordance to production plan or forecast needs.
• Utilizes whole food products eliminating any waste.
• Maintains overall cleanliness and sanitation standards in assigned areas.
• Alerts chef or supervisor of any equipment breakdowns, food overages, or shortages in a timely manner
• Requisitions inventory and receive supplies as necessary for daily production.
• Ensures proper storage of food items, wraps, dates, and rotates food items.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Must be available to work mornings starting at 6:00am weekdays and weekends.
• Must be available holidays.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experienced breakfast Cook preferred.

Physical Demands:

• Frequently stands, uses hands, talks, listens, tastes and smells.
• Regularly walks and reaches with hands and arms.
• Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.
• Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds (team lift).
• Regularly works in extreme heat (non-weather) and near moving mechanical parts.
• Occasionally works in extreme cold (non-weather), wet or humid conditions (non-weather), near toxic or caustic chemicals, and in outdoor weather.
• Noise level is moderate.
