Lorraine Lakes in Lakewood Ranch, FL is seeking a motivated Full-Time Cook. As part of Troon, you will contribute to guest experiences while growing knowledge of golf club operations.

Compensation is $18.00 per hour. Responsibilities include food preparation, inventory handling, and ensuring sanitation, with benefits supporting healthcare, retirement, PTO, and employee meals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination.
• Food Safety and Sanitation Training.

Responsibilities

• Prepares various food products for restaurant and banquet operations.
• Produces quantities in line with production plans and forecasts.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation in assigned areas.
• Reports equipment issues, shortages or overages to chef or supervisor promptly.
• Requisitions inventory and receives supplies for daily production.
• Ensures proper storage, dating and rotation of food items.
• Practices safe work methods and maintains regular attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Compensation:$18.00 per hour

General Purpose:

Prepares various food products for restaurant and banquet operations, guest consumption and enjoyment.

• Prepares sufficient quantities of food product in accordance to production plan or forecast needs.
• Utilizes whole food products eliminating any waste.
• Maintains overall cleanliness and sanitation standards in assigned areas.
• Alerts chef or supervisor of any equipment breakdowns, food overages, or shortages in a timely manner.
• Requisitions inventory and receive supplies as necessary for daily production.
• Ensures proper storage of food items, wraps, dates, and rotates food items.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

• Frequently stands, uses hands, talks, hears, tastes and smells.
• Regularly walks and reaches with hands and arms.
• Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.
• Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds.

Regularly works in extreme heat (non-weather) and near moving mechanical parts.

Occasionally works in extreme cold (non-weather), wet or humid conditions (non-weather), near toxic or caustic chemicals, and in outdoor weather.

Noise level is moderate.

Certificates/Licenses:

Food Safety and Sanitation Training.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:

Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
