Grande Oaks Golf Club in Davie, FL, part of Troon, is seeking a Full-Time Cook I to join a fast-paced, hospitality-driven team.

You will prepare food to spec, maintain kitchen cleanliness, follow safety rules, and assist the chef with prep and plating. This position offers healthcare benefits and growth opportunities within a global golf and resort leader.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience as a cook in a fine dining setting or equivalent culinary training.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience at a private club or resort is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items following recipes, portion control, and plate presentation.
• Assist with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage areas.
• Follow safety regulations and report unsafe conditions.
• Label and date all raw and prepped products using FIFO.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
• Assist the chef in maintaining kitchen security and safety.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance and personal cleanliness.
• Set up, maintain, and break down prep station.
• Requisition items needed to produce menu items.
• Store leftovers properly and rotate inventory.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or managers.

Grande Oaks Golf Club, located in Davie, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Cook I! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

• Prepare food items following recipes, portion control, food quality, freshness, and plate presentation to ensure consistency with portion sizes and cooking methods
• Assist with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas to ensure the highest sanitary standards
• Follow safety regulations and report injuries or any unsafe conditions and work practices to ensure safe kitchen operation
• Use the product labeling system to label and date all raw and prepped food products using the F.I.F.O. method to ensure proper rotation
• Follow sanitation requirements, safety, accident, and emergency policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all state, local, and Club laws
• Assist the chef in maintaining security and safety in the kitchen
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance and observe personal cleanliness rules at all times
• Set up, maintain, and break down prep cook station
• Requisition items needed to produce menu items
• Adhere to state and local health and safety regulations
• Cover, date, and neatly store all leftover products that are reusable
• Maintain the highest sanitary standards
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by supervisors or managers

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience as a cook within a fine dining establishment, or equivalent training in culinary arts from an accredited institution
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience at a private club and/or resort preferred

Physical Demands

Must be able to walk, stand, sit, stoop, or bend for the duration of shift (at least 8 hours). Role involves balancing, climbing, carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive movement, sitting, standing, twisting, and bending.

This is a safety sensitive position. Environmental hazards include heights and electrical hazards.
