Job summary

The Buona Companies is seeking a Cook to join a fast-paced kitchen in Illinois. You will prepare food to high-quality standards, follow recipes, and maintain a clean, sanitary workspace while serving guests with speed and accuracy.

Responsibilities include learning Beef, Pizza, Broiler, Cafe/Salads & Prep stations; restocking; portion control; health and safety compliance; and ensuring quality before serving.

Qualifications

• Must obtain Food Handler certificate.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Lift up to 25 lbs.
• Able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace.

Responsibilities

• Learn positions: Beef, Pizza, Broiler, Cafe/Salads & Prep.
• Follow recipes and food preparation processes properly (cooking, seasoning, grilling, chopping, dicing, cutting and slicing).
• Maintain appropriate portion control and monitor food levels on the line.
• Prepare quality food that meets Buona standards.
• Ensure all food is made properly before serving to guests.
• Restock food line.
• Comply with health and safety standards for food, cleanliness and safety.
• Be speedy and accurate in fulfilling orders.
• Handle raw and finished waste according to procedures.
• Act with urgency with guests (dine-in, takeout, drive-thru).
• Wash cookware and utensils and clean equipment as assigned.
• Cleaning and sanitizing as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

From $16 per hour - $19 per hour , based on experience + tips

Job Summary:
