Job summary

Mini Cassia Burley, Idaho is seeking a Full Time Evening Cook to prepare meals for residents in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation community. The role includes following menus, serving meals on time, maintaining a clean workspace, and adjusting quantities to meet resident needs.

You will work 1:30pm to 9pm, with opportunities for growth and benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), PTO, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Current Food Handlers Permit.
• ServSafe Certification is preferred.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One plus years' experience working in a commercial kitchen.
• Experience cooking in a skilled nursing facility a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and prepare meals that correspond to the menu cycle.
• Cooks or prepares palatable, attractive, nutritionally adequate meals in institutional quantities according to census and diet type.
• Adjusts food quantities according to the needs of residents to prevent over/under production of food.
• Serves meals on time.
• Keeps a clean and organized work area.
• Prepares and maintain a supply of food substitutes to accommodate resident's choice and preferences.
• Assists Dietary Manager in preparations for inspections and state surveys.
• Follows facility policies and procedures for infection control at all times.
• Other duties as necessary and assigned.

• Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:
• Exposure to body fluids and communicable diseases
• Full range of body motion including handling and lifting objects
• Ability to lift/push/pull 50-100 lbs. unassisted
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
• Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met
• Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of the facility
