Job summary

Saint Therese is seeking a Full-Time Cook at Saint Mary of the Woods in Ohio to prepare high-quality meals for residents, following state/local codes and safety standards. You will handle hot and cold dishes, assist with the coffee shop and events, and maintain a clean, organized kitchen.

  • Minimum one year of experience cooking for large groups or in high-volume food service environments.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with team members and follow supervisory direction.
  • Ability to meet attendance expectations and maintain professional work standards.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local health requirements, including post-offer screening requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals in accordance with resident diet orders, menu standards, and portion guidelines.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards in accordance with facility, state, and local regulations.
  • Support preparation of modified and therapeutic diets as needed (mechanical soft, pureed, low sodium, diabetic, etc.).
  • Assist with dishwashing, kitchen sanitation, and maintaining a clean, organized food preparation environment.
  • Support safe food transport and delivery to dining areas as needed.
  • Accurately follow and adjust recipes to support volume meal production.
  • Work collaboratively with dining team members and supervisors to ensure efficient meal-service.
  • Provide respectful, service-focused interactions with residents, families, and team members.
  • Demonstrate reliability, accountability, and pride in delivering high-quality dining services.

Full-Time Cook

Shift: 11:00am - 7:00pm | 75 hours per two-week pay period.

Schedule: Week 1: Sun, Tue, Wed, Th, Fri | Week 2: Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat

Pay: $17.55 - $21.55 per hour (based on experience) | *Same Day Pay Available*

As a Cook at Saint Mary of the Woods, you will be responsible for creating high-quality meals for our residents, ensuring that all food is crafted to meet established state and local food codes, regulations, and best practices. As our Cook on-site, you will need to pay attention to detail in meal preparation to maintain the highest standards of nutrition and safety.

A Cook here encompasses a range of responsibilities including cooking and baking, as well as cleaning equipment and maintaining operations. You will prepare both hot and cold meals for residents, manage food service for the coffee shop and special events, and carry out general cleaning tasks to ensure a well-organized kitchen environment.   • Experience scaling or adjusting recipes for volume production
