St. Paul’s Assisted Living is seeking an experienced Cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare nutritious, appealing meals for residents, follow menus and dietary guidelines, and ensure cleanliness and safety in a caring, home-like environment.

The role is full-time on the evening shift, with opportunities to collaborate with the Dietary Manager, manage inventory, and train kitchen staff while delivering respectful, resident-centered service.

Qualifications

• Must hold Serve Safe Certification.
• Experience as a cook in residential or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of nutrition and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals following established menus, dietary guidelines, and residents' preferences.
• Ensure food is cooked and served at safe temperatures and in compliance with Serve Safe standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the Dietary Manager and team to plan menus that meet nutritional requirements and dietary restrictions.
• Monitor inventory levels, assist with food ordering, and manage waste to minimize costs.
• Train and guide kitchen staff as needed to maintain high-quality standards.
• Engage with residents and staff to foster a welcoming and respectful atmosphere in the dining area.
• Address special dietary needs or allergies with attention to detail and care.
