Job summary

Current is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to build the firm of the future across offices, functions, and client platforms. This hands-on executive role focuses on operational excellence, technology-enabled transformation, and scalable processes to drive growth and client value.

You will lead KPI-driven performance, oversee shared services, and partner with HR, IT, and Finance to standardize workflows, embed AI, and elevate the client experience across the firm.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of operational leadership in professional services.
• Proven track record leading technology-enabled transformation (workflow modernization, automation, data/analytics, AI enablement).
• Strong process engineering mindset with capability to map and optimize workflows.
• Able to operate at executive level and in the details (metrics, adoption).
• Demonstrated ability to lead change in partner-led or matrixed environments.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills.
• CPA, MBA, or other credential is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own firmwide operations across offices and functions with accountability culture.
• Define and manage KPIs (capacity utilization, cycle time, SLA adherence, quality/rework, NPS/CSAT, retention).
• Lead technology-enabled transformation (AI, automation, data, workflows, client platforms).
• Influence partners and senior stakeholders through change while strengthening culture and client trust.
• Map and redesign end-to-end workflows (onboarding to renewal) for speed and scalability.
• Build lean standards, playbooks, and training for continuous improvement.
• Standardize SOPs, templates, and controls to ensure quality and compliance.
• Partner with HR to design scalable org structures, roles, and training.
• Oversee shared services and infrastructure (HR, IT, Finance) for reliability.
• Integrate acquired practices into the flagship operating model and create repeatable playbooks.
