Job summary

Mai Placement seeks a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead day-to-day operations from our Brooklyn, NY office. This hands-on executive role partners with ownership to drive execution, accountability, and scalable growth across departments.

The COO will oversee Operations, Scheduling & Customer Service, Estimating & Purchasing, Inventory & Procurement, Field Operations, Administrative Functions, and Finance Coordination, developing KPIs and dashboards while mentoring managers and fostering

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations or executive roles.
• Experience overseeing multiple departments and teams.
• Background in service, field service, facilities, construction, maintenance, or logistics.
• Experience implementing and optimizing operational systems and technology platforms.
• Strong focus on process improvement, workflow optimization, and scaling.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the organization.
• Serve as the senior operational leader across all departments.
• Oversee Operations, Scheduling & Customer Service, Estimating & Purchasing, Inventory & Procurement, Field Operations, Administrative Functions, and Finance Coordination.
• Drive adoption and execution of EOS principles throughout the organization.
• Develop and monitor KPIs, scorecards, dashboards, and reporting structures.
• Lead, mentor, and develop department managers.
• Foster a culture of ownership, urgency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with ownership on strategic planning and organizational development.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement scalable solutions.
