Job summary
Maersk Performance Team in Stockton, CA is seeking an experienced Technical Maintenance Mechanic to join our fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment. You will perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, installation, and preventive maintenance of conveyor systems and material handling equipment to improve reliability and uptime.
The role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, experience with conveyors, and the ability to read schematics.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or automated material handling environment.
- Extensive experience troubleshooting and repairing conveyor systems.
- Strong knowledge of conveyors and sortation systems; motors and gearboxes; bearings, chains, belts, and rollers; pneumatic and hydraulic systems; electrical systems and VFDs.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Experience using troubleshooting and diagnostic tools including multimeters and precision measuring instruments.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic controls-related issues on material handling equipment.
- Maintain and repair conveyor systems, sortation equipment, gearboxes, motors, VFDs, sensors, bearings, chains, belts, rollers, actuators, cylinders, and other components.
- Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment including balers, air compressors, dock equipment, and other warehouse support systems.
- Observe equipment in operation, identify root causes of mechanical failures, and implement corrective solutions.
- Dismantle, inspect, repair, rebuild, or replace defective equipment and components as needed.
- Test equipment following repairs to ensure safe and reliable operation.
