Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve conveyor systems and material handling equipment in a warehouse setting. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and facility equipment to ensure reliable operations and minimal downtime.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with conveyors, can independently troubleshoot, and is committed to safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of industrial maintenance, manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, facilities, or related maintenance experience.
• Experience working with conveyor systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain conveyor systems and material handling equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical components including bearings, rollers, belts, chains, sprockets, motors, and gearboxes.
• Assist in troubleshooting basic electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Observe equipment operation and identify potential mechanical failures or performance issues.
• Remove, repair, or replace defective components to restore equipment functionality.
• Test equipment following repairs to verify safe and proper operation.
• Assist with installation and modification of conveyors and related equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance activities according to established schedules and procedures.
• Inspect equipment for wear, damage, misalignment, lubrication deficiencies, and other maintenance concerns.
• Complete lubrication, belt adjustments, component replacements, and routine maintenance activities.
• Document maintenance findings and report equipment concerns to maintenance leadership.
• Support efforts to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Assist with maintenance and repair of warehouse support equipment including dock equipment, fans, air compressors, and facility systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Support emergency equipment repairs and operational uptime initiatives.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work order documentation.
• Record labor hours, repairs completed, and parts used.
• Assist with identifying replacement parts and inventory requirements.
• Communicate equipment issues and repair status to maintenance leadership.
