Job summary

ND Paper is seeking a Converting Shift Lead in Sturtevant, WI, to drive safe, efficient converting operations on rotary die cutters and flexo folder gluers. You will bridge gaps between operators and supervisors, ensuring standardized setups, tooling readiness, and training across the converting department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5+ years experience in corrugated converting operations.
• Prior leadership, lead operator, or trainer experience preferred.
• Strong safety mindset and adherence to quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safety as a core value and promote safe work practices across converting operations.
• Lead and enforce standardized setup procedures for rotary die cutters and flexo folder gluers.
• Ensure tooling, print plates, dies, and inks are prepared before production and coordinate with tooling technicians.
• Track downtime and root causes; implement corrective actions with operators and supervisors.
• Train and mentor operators in setup, troubleshooting, and process control to build technical capability.
• Resolve production issues and support banders, takeoff lines, and sheet flow to maintain continuity.
• Diagnose machine issues and ensure operators understand root causes and corrective actions.
• Ensure consistent adherence to quality standards and inspection procedures.
