ND Paper is seeking a Utility Operator- Converting in Sturtevant, WI to support the converting department with cross-trained, multi-machine coverage. You will run flexo folder gluers, die cutters, the bundler, and the stitcher, moving between lines as production demands require.

A strong operator adapts quickly and works with minimal supervision. The role emphasizes setup accuracy, first-piece verification, and strict safety practices in a fast-paced packaging environment.

• Ability to learn and operate multiple converting machines through on-the-job training.
• Strong attention to detail in a production environment.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality; coverage role impact on production.
• Ability to read and interpret job tickets, layouts, and material specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate converting equipment safely and to production standard (flexo folder gluers, die cutters, bundler, stitcher).
• Set up equipment at shift start; verify dies, plates, scores, glue settings, and job parameters.
• Perform first-piece verification before full production; confirm spec before running.
• Adjust machine settings during the run to maintain quality and speed.
• Transition between equipment as directed by Lead or Supervisor.
• Inspect in-process product for dimensions, print registration, glue integrity, and bundle/stitch quality.
