Job summary

ND Paper is seeking a Converting Shift Lead in Sturtevant, WI to direct the daily activities of the converting crew on a shift, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operation of Flexo Folder Gluer and Rotary Die Cutter centers.

The role acts as the on-floor liaison between the Converting Supervisor and machine operators, coordinating crewing, changeovers, production flow, and order priorities while reinforcing safety and quality standards on every shift.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating FFG or RDC in a corrugated/packaging environment.
• Experience leading a crew or informal leadership on a shift.
• Ability to read and interpret job tickets and production schedules.
• Strong communication skills; bilingual in Mandarin is a plus.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-shift huddles and communicate schedule, safety, and quality priorities.
• Balance crew across machines based on skill and workload.
• Monitor attendance and coordinate coverage for breaks and call-offs.
• Execute daily production schedule across machines and minimize changeover time.
• Ensure first-piece and in-process quality checks are completed and documented.
• Reinforce PPE, lockout/tagout, and housekeeping standards.
• Support onboarding and coaching of operators and assistants.
