Job summary

Edwards Vacuum is seeking an Onsite Service Engineer to deliver expert repair and service for our technology solutions, ensuring safety, performance and instrument longevity for customers. You will report to the Site Manager and perform inspections, installations, troubleshooting, and documentation to prevent downtime.

As the on-site contact, you will provide service recommendations and address customer needs promptly while maintaining strong collaboration with the team and complying with safety

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of relevant technical field experience with customer-facing duties.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• High School Diploma or AS degree/military equivalent preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and escalate when needed.
• Strong customer focus and timely service delivery.
• Documentation and reporting skills.
• Willingness to learn and coach others.

Onsite Service Engineer

Your role: As the Onsite Service Engineer, you will provide expert repair services for our technology solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction, safety, and the performance and longevity of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Report into the Site Manager.
• Conduct planned and ad‑hoc visits to inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair various technical systems to prevent equipment downtime.
• Perform installations, ensure safety compliance, and document activities.
• Be the on‑site contact, providing service recommendations and addressing customer needs promptly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (AS degree or full military equivalent preferred).
• 1–3 years of equivalent experience in a relevant technical field (electronic, mechanical, chemical, gas, refrigeration, or basic vacuum) with customer‑facing experience.
• Strong customer focus and ability to deliver solutions that meet expectations and timeframes.
• Self‑directed problem‑solving and appropriate escalation.
• Proactive customer feedback seeking and effective communication.
• Ability to share technical expertise and coach less experienced team members.
• Collaboration skills and support for team objectives.
• Compliance with all applicable laws, policies, and standards.
• Fluency in written and spoken English with clear communication.
• Computer proficiency for recording data and writing reports.
• Understanding and interpretation of technical documentation.
