Job summary

Smart Building Technologies, a Fidelity Company, is seeking an HVAC technician with a controls focus to join our service team in the Owings Mills, Maryland area, delivering high‑quality building automation support.

You will service EMS/BAS systems, install sensors and relays, upgrade controllers, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot with the team, and continuously develop programming skills, with a sign-on bonus available for highly qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in HVAC or related field (HVAC and DDC)
• Deep understanding of BAS control components, control strategies, and programming
• Tridium Certification and/or Distech experience is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide expert service to EMS/BAS systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Dive into service installation projects, from sensor and relay upgrades to programming tweaks and controller replacements.
• Conduct preventive maintenance visits to safeguard systems and ensure reliable operation.
• Partner with the service team to troubleshoot, resolve, and verify service issues for seamless operations.
• Hone programming skills to handle challenges, including when remote support isn’t available

What you’ll do:
