Job summary

Smart Building Technologies is seeking a BAS/Controls Technician & Programmer in Owings Mills, MD to develop commissioning plans, inspect systems, test performance, and optimize integrations with HVAC controls. What we hope you bring to the table:

• Experience: 3-5 years in an industry-related field, including HVAC Systems and DDC Systems
• Know-How: Deep understanding of BAS control components, control strategies, and programming.
• Software Proficiency: Tridium Certification and Distech experience would be a plus, but not a requirement.

• Test & Troubleshoot: Perform in-depth functional testing to verify that every control system operates precisely as designed, identifying, and resolving any issues with finesse.
• Integrate & Optimize: Ensure seamless integration of control components with overall HVAC systems, optimizing performance and efficiency for peak operation.
• Document & Educate: Meticulously document every step of the commissioning process and provide hand-on training to operators, ensuring they’re fully equipped to maintain top-tier system performance.

• Troubleshoot & Resolve: Diagnose issues and implement effective solutions to ensure seamless system operation.

Base Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 - Commensurate with experience. This range represents a general guideline; however, several factors are considered when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
