Job summary

Smart Building Technologies in Owings Mills, MD, seeks a BAS/Controls Technician & Programmer to plan, commission, and optimize our building automation systems.

Requirements include 3–5 years in HVAC and DDC, strong BAS control knowledge, and programming fluency. Tridium certification or Distech experience is a plus. Base pay ranges from $40.00 to $55.00 per hour with benefits and growth opportunities.

What we hope you bring to the table:

• Experience: 3-5 years in an industry-related field, including HVAC Systems and DDC Systems
• Know-How: Deep understanding of BAS control components, control strategies, and programming.
• Software Proficiency: Tridium Certification and Distech experience would be a plus, but not a requirement.

• Integrate & Optimize: Ensure seamless integration of control components with overall HVAC systems, optimizing performance and efficiency for peak operation.
• Document & Educate: Meticulously document every step of the commissioning process and provide hand-on training to operators, ensuring they’re fully equipped to maintain top-tier system performance.

Base Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 - Commensurate with experience. This range represents a general guideline; however, several factors are considered when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
