Job summary

The Blue Collar Recruiter of Marietta is seeking an HVAC Control System Technician to service and commission building automation systems in Atlanta, GA and surrounding areas. You will operate a work truck, perform wiring terminations, start-up, troubleshooting, and field installation under supervision from project and general managers.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of HVAC controls experience, familiarity with Honeywell, Distech, Johnson Controls, and Tridium Niagara certification.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2–5 years HVAC controls experience.
  • Experience with Honeywell, Distech, and Johnson Controls preferred.
  • Tridium Niagara Certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with others.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for field level control service and installation of DDC Systems
  • Install, commission, troubleshoot, and service control components related to DDC Systems
  • Perform field controller installation and replacement including demo and wire termination
  • Complete project checkout including point to point commissioning
  • Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings to determine wiring terminations
  • Keeps management apprised of job progress and issues
  • Complete administrative tasks such as documenting and filling out service reports
  • Meet project deadlines

HVAC Control System Technician - Sign-on Bonus!

The service area is Atlanta, GA and surrounding areas. You will have a work truck and be dispatched from home.

The Control System Technician is responsible for completing tasks as assigned by his/her supervisor and the project manager responsible for associated projects. These tasks include programming, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning and servicing of Building Automation Systems (BAS) controlling and monitoring commercial building HVAC equipment. This person should also maintain open communications, deliver top-quality workmanship, develop customer relationships, and complete tasks/projects timely. The Control System Technician will receive support from the General Manager, Project Manager, and other office personnel.

Duties:
