Job summary

Marvin is seeking a CE-PG Controls Team Supervisor in Fargo, ND to lead a team of Controls Technicians while continuing to perform controls work. You will mentor staff, coordinate projects, and collaborate with SCADA, PLC, and database experts to integrate advanced automated equipment.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, troubleshooting, and the ability to drive on-time project delivery across multiple departments with a focus on empowering team members.

Qualifications

• A four-year degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• One to two years of related experience or training.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Project management skills and the ability to execute work to established timelines.
• Strong, proactive communication, training, and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction for the Controls group while continuing to execute controls work, collaborating with Automation Systems, Maintenance, Information Systems, and Operations.
• Support team leadership activities, including interviewing candidates, training employees, planning work, balancing workloads, delegating assignments, evaluating work, addressing concerns, and resolving problems.
• Research, analyze, install, and test automation control systems to improve machine efficiency, advance existing systems, and support current and future production demands.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and programming-related equipment and facility issues. Recommend preventive maintenance rule sets for recurring issues and identify opportunities to improve operational procedures.
• Manage projects and timelines through successful completion or resolution while maintaining feedback loops and providing end-user training.
• Serve as a liaison with vendors to ensure new and modified equipment, control panels, wiring schematics, components, and electrical practices align with Marvin specifications and procedures.
