Job summary

Marvin is hiring a Custom Equipment Programming Group (CEPG) Controls Team Supervisor to guide the Controls team while continuing to perform controls work. You’ll lead, mentor, and coordinate Controls Technicians and partner with SCADA, databases, and PLC specialists to integrate advanced automated equipment.

You’ll manage projects, mentor staff, and drive on-time completion while fostering ownership and collaboration across teams. Relocation support is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• A four-year degree, one to two years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Project management skills and the ability to execute work to timelines.
• Strong, proactive communication, training, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to foster a collaborative team environment and empower others.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction for the Controls group while continuing to execute controls work, collaborating with Automation Systems, Maintenance, Information Systems, and Operations.
• Support team leadership activities, including interviewing candidates, training employees, planning work, balancing workloads, delegating assignments, evaluating work, addressing concerns, and resolving problems.
• Research, analyze, install, and test automation control systems to improve machine efficiency, advance existing systems, and support current and future production demands.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and programming‑related equipment and facility issues; recommend preventive maintenance rule sets.
• Manage projects and timelines through successful completion with feedback loops and end‑user training.
• Serve as a liaison with vendors to ensure equipment and wiring practices align with Marvin specifications and procedures.
