Job summary

Marvin is seeking a CE PLC Supervisor to lead the Custom Equipment Programming Group Controls Team while continuing to perform controls work. You will mentor Technicians, coordinate projects, and collaborate with SCADA, database, and PLC specialists to deliver integrated automation solutions for advanced manufacturing equipment.

You will guide projects from planning through completion, ensuring on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Project management skills and ability to execute work to timelines.
• Strong, proactive communication, training, and mentoring abilities.
• Ability to foster collaboration and empower team members to own their work.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction for the Controls group while continuing to execute controls work; collaborate with Automation Systems, Maintenance, Information Systems, and Operations.
• Lead, mentor, and coordinate Controls Technicians to complete projects on time.
• Research, analyze, install, and test automation control systems to improve machine efficiency and support production demands.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and programming issues; implement preventive maintenance where appropriate.
• Manage projects and timelines from initiation to completion, maintaining feedback loops and end-user training.
• Liaise with vendors to ensure equipment and control panels align with Marvin specifications and procedures; build cross-functional relationships.
