Job summary

ANDRITZ Schuler Incorporated in Canton, Michigan is seeking a qualified Controls Engineer to design, integrate and test industrial control systems for hydraulic and press automation projects. You will work on hardware, PLC, PC, HMI, and safety systems in mission-critical environments, with a strong emphasis on on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years in designing industrial control systems, hydraulics, and press automation.
• Knowledge in RSLogix 5/500 and Studio 5000 is a plus.
• Knowledge in Siemens S7F, S5 is a plus.
• Willingness to travel nationally and abroad.
• Fluent in English; German a plus.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• SAP familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop control system layouts including PLC, PC, HMI hardware.
• Create BOMs and hardware schematics; ensure standards compliance.
• Support field service with installations and updates.
• Troubleshoot with technicians; assist onsite installations.
• Lead project tasks and communicate with customers.
• Provide technical information for spare parts and service.
• Interface with customers to resolve issues.
• Assist in sales with technical details.
