Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking an Automation Engineer to troubleshoot, design, program PLCs, HMIs, robots, and related manufacturing equipment. You will lead troubleshooting efforts and pursue continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle times and standardize equipment, while applying error-proofing strategies.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, at least 2 years of Rockwell AB CompactLogix/GuardLogix experience, and strong problem solving, teamwork and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with Rockwell software and AB CompactLogix, GuardLogix, PanelView plus platforms.
• Electrical knowledge: Install hardware and wiring.
• Technical Skills: Program and debug of automated robotic welding, sealing, fastening and assembly systems.
• Able to program Panel View (HMI) and PLC.
• Creative thinking: Effective problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail: Manage project details to ensure perfect quality in work output.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Teamwork: Able to work collaboratively with different team members and levels of organization.
