Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Spartanburg, SC is seeking an engineer to troubleshoot, design, and program PLC/robotic systems for automated manufacturing. You will work on Rockwell software platforms to program AB CompactLogix and PanelView HMIs, supporting ongoing process improvements.

You will lead troubleshooting of malfunctioning equipment, implement cycle time reductions, standardize equipment, and help apply error-proofing strategies across a 3rd shift operation at the Spartanburg plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with Rockwell software and AB CompactLogix, Guard Logix, PanelView plus platforms.
• Electrical knowledge to install hardware and wiring; hardware and wiring expertise.
• Able to program Panel View (HMI) and PLC.

Responsibilities

• Design and program PLC, HMI, robots and other types of electronic or electrical manufacturing equipment.
• Lead in the troubleshooting of malfunctioning equipment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives like cycle time reduction and standardization.
