Job summary

Allor Solutions seeks an experienced Controls Engineer to join our team on 3rd shift in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. You will program PLCs and HMIs, design control systems, and support equipment launches and upgrades on the plant floor.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, hands-on experience in controls and automation, and proficiency with Allen-Bradley PLC/HMI software.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Hands-on technical experience in controls, automation, or a related field is preferred.
  • Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI programming software experience is preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Advanced proficiency with MQ1 and QAD databases.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the company's mission, vision, values, and goals in daily activities.
  • Program and support complete PLC, HMI, network devices, and related hardware for new equipment installations.
  • Design electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems for new and retrofit equipment.
  • Develop and support motor drive configurations for servo, variable frequency, and DC systems.
  • Implement, program, and troubleshoot robotic systems.
  • Support new program and equipment launches, including startup, debugging, and achievement of performance objectives.
  • Utilize engineering software and equipment, including PLC and HMI programs, motion control programs, PC-based programs, and CAD-based programs.
  • Evaluate and apply new technology as required.
  • Ensure manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing meet functional specifications.
  • Troubleshoot new and existing systems in support of manufacturing operations.
  • Support new model launches and continuous improvement teams.
  • Participate in cross-functional and program management activities.
  • Work directly on the plant floor as needed.

Required Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
