Job summary
Challenge Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer for our Spartanburg, SC plant to troubleshoot, maintain and improve highly automated welding and robotic systems. You will design and program PLCs and HMIs, lead in troubleshooting malfunctions, and drive continuous improvement in cycle times and standardization.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and at least 2 years of Rockwell software experience (CompactLogix, GuardLogix, PanelView+), plus strong problem
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with Rockwell software and AB CompactLogix, GuardLogix, PanelView plus platforms.
- Electrical knowledge to install hardware, wiring, and panels.
- Strong problem solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Design and program PLC, HMI, robots and other automated equipment.
- Lead in troubleshooting malfunctioning equipment and processes.
- Drive continuous improvement—cycle time reduction and standardization.
