Job summary

Meritas Advisory Group, LLC seeks a highly skilled Controls Engineer to support manufacturing operations at their Atlanta-area facility. The role focuses on troubleshooting, programming, and integrating equipment and automation systems to improve safety, efficiency, and uptime.

You will work in a heavy Allen Bradley PLC environment across stamping, die casting, plating, and assembly processes, collaborating with Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineering, and Project teams.

Qualifications

• Four years of technical education or degree, or two years of technical education with related work experience.
• Prefer at least 5 years as a controls engineer, but will consider at least 2 years as a controls engineer.
• Experience in Allen-Bradley PLC environments and related hardware is expected.

Responsibilities

• Maintain effective working relationships with Maintenance, Toolroom, Manufacturing Engineering, Technology Team, and Production to support operations and CI initiatives.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting on equipment 24V to 480V; diagnose faults and implement corrective actions.
• Support manufacturing projects with controls engineering expertise including design, PLC/HMI programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Lead project activities, coordinating timelines with internal departments, contractors, and vendors.
• Prepare and maintain technical reports, FATs, and documentation for controls activities.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations and internal/EHS standards.
