Job summary

Pridgeon & Clay, Inc. is seeking a Controls Engineer to collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering and production teams.

You will design, program, troubleshoot and validate machine processes across internally manufactured and purchased equipment in line with company quality standards. The role requires a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, hands-on PLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley), and the ability to read complex electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience in machine repair of stamping equipment, welding, robotic welders, or grinding/finishing equipment.
Experience with electrical trouble-shooting and maintenance on equipment.
Ability to read electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings, blueprints, schematics, code requirements, service manuals and manufacturers' specifications.
Experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming and troubleshooting; knowledge of Allen-Bradley/Rockwell software.

Responsibilities

Conduct/coordinate machine debugging, power-up, and validation with build teams.
Design and program electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for new machines.
Ensure equipment meets build specifications and update hardware/software.
Produce drawings with AutoCAD and maintain documentation.
Provide training to Maintenance personnel and manage parts orders.
