Job summary

CapstoneONE Search, on behalf of a prominent manufacturing organization in Michigan, seeks an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to join the engineering team reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager.

You will maintain PLC-based control systems, program Allen Bradley ladder logic, lead projects, support electrical troubleshooting, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing lines.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering degree required.
• Proficient with Allen-Bradley PLCs.
• Experience with robotics production systems startup and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Provide input to departmental goals and metrics.
• Maintain PLC-based control systems for manufacturing automation.
• Program PLC ladder logic (Allen Bradley).
• Lead projects and assist skilled trades in electrical disciplines.
• Support operations in electrical/controls troubleshooting and CI activities.
• Collaborate with engineering to define system control needs.
• Assist corporate controls with engineering changes and new programs.
• Design, develop and test electrical controls methods and processes.
• Communicate engineering changes across teams.

Job description

We are representing a very prominent manufacturing organization who is actively seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer due to a continued growth/new business. This position will report to the Senior Engineering Manager who is looking to begin the interview process ASAP.

Position Overview:

• Provide key input into the development of departmental strategic goals along with identifying key measurable to support the departmental goals


• Maintain PLC based control systems for manufacturing automation and instrumentation


• Program PLC ladder logic (Allen Bradley)


• Lead projects and assist skilled trades in electrical disciplines


• Support operations in electrical/controls troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities


• Work closely with engineering team to define system control needs


• Assist corporate controls in engineering changes and new programs


• Guides design, develops and tests electrical control methods, materials, processes and results


• Champion assigned engineering changes communicate and coordinate accordingly to all

Requirements

• Electrical Engineering Degree is required for consideration


• Candidate should be well versed in Allen Bradley PLC's


• Experience in programming, installation, startup, and debug of integrated robotic production systems


• Proficient in reading, interpreting and editing electrical schematics and diagrams
