Job summary

CyberCoders, Inc. is seeking a Controls Engineer to join our Ontario, CA team. You will work on PLC, HMI, and SCADA-based control systems for manufacturing environments and help install, program, test, and validate automation solutions.

Ideal candidates bring programming experience, the ability to read schematics, and a desire to learn PLC programming further. This role emphasizes collaboration with engineering, production, and maintenance to improve safety, quality, and uptime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechatronics or related field.
• Experience reading, writing and troubleshooting code.
• Hands-on experience via coursework, internships or projects.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and developing PLC, HMI, and SCADA-based control systems.
• Support programming, testing, debugging and implementation of automation solutions.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on equipment installations and process improvements.
• Troubleshoot control system and electrical issues to maximize performance.
• Participate in startup, commissioning, and system validation activities.
• Prepare and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and specs.
• Support safety, quality, productivity, and uptime initiatives.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, maintenance, and operations teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
