Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking a Controls Engineer to develop, commission, and support industrial control and automation solutions. The role focuses on creating robust PLC-based control logic, designing HMI interfaces, integrating robotics and field devices, and ensuring successful commissioning and troubleshooting at project sites.

You will collaborate with mechanical and automation teams to design I/O lists, wiring, and network architecture, and to support FAT/SAT and on-site commissioning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing PLC control software for industrial automation projects.
• Experience with PLC platforms and programming languages (Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block Diagrams).
• Experience designing and building HMI applications (FactoryTalk View, WinCC, Ignition).
• Robotics, motion control, and fieldbus/industrial network protocols experience.
• FAT/SAT execution and on-site commissioning experience.
• Familiar with safety systems and standards (ISO 13849, IEC 61508).
• Strong documentation and communication skills; able to interact with customers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and document PLC control logic and software.
• Create operator-friendly HMI screens and workflows.
• Integrate robotics and peripheral equipment with control systems.
• Develop FAT, SAT, and support on-site commissioning.
• Troubleshoot control system issues with root-cause analysis.
• Implement safety-related control functions per standards.
• Define I/O lists, wiring, network architecture, and field instrumentation.
• Follow version control, testing, and documentation practices.
• Provide manuals and training materials to operations teams.
• Collaborate with project managers, system integrators, and customers.
