Job summary

Schreiber Foods in Richland Center, Wisconsin is hiring two Electrical Controls Engineer positions to optimize automation in a 24/7 food manufacturing environment. You will lead control system improvements, capital projects, and maintain standards for safety and process quality.

You will train maintenance staff, oversee contractors, and develop SCADA/HMI/MES reporting to boost performance while ensuring food safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical control system programming, electrical system design, power distribution, project management, and equipment installations.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA70E and electrical theory.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and work with automation programming.
• Strong communication and cross-functional teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Execute Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls projects against cost, schedule, and performance targets.
• Coach and train plant maintenance team members on electrical automation topics.
• Manage electrical and engineering contractors and oversee performance.
• Improve production efficiency and uptime via controls optimization opportunities.
• Monitor plant control systems, network health, controller functionality, and obsolescence.
• Develop SCADA/HMI/MES and data reporting solutions to realize improvements.
• Establish and audit electrical/automation standards and SOPs.
