Job summary

Schreiber Foods Inc. in Carthage, MO is seeking a Controls Engineer to optimize electrical, instrumentation and automation systems in a 100% on-site manufacturing setting.

You will lead projects, mentor maintenance staff, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. You should have a battery of experience with NEC/NFPA70E, Rockwell Logix 5000 PLCs, and HMI/SCADA tools, plus strong communication and cross‑functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical control system programming, electrical system design, power distribution, project management, and equipment installations.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA70E and electrical theory.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and program automation systems.
• Strong communication in a business environment and cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Execute Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls projects against commitments (cost, schedule, and performance) while adhering to Schreiber’s Enterprise Project Management (EPM) principles.
• Coach and train plant maintenance team members on electrical automation topics.
• Manage and oversee performance of electrical and engineering contractors.
• Improve production efficiency and uptime through identification and implementation of controls optimization opportunities.
• Develop SCADA, HMI, MES, and data reporting/dashboard solutions utilizing scripting and database systems.
