Job summary

Daifuku Intralogistics America seeks an Electrical Engineer to design and develop automated material handling systems, including conveyors, sortation, storage, and robotics. You will create control schematics, PLC programs, and software for HMI/SCADA, collaborating with a team to meet product requirements and cost targets.

The role demands a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field with at least 2 years of experience, familiarity with Allen Bradley tools, and knowledge of safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; 2+ years of experience.
• Experience with sortation and conveyance equipment or robotics design is required.
• Experience with Allen Bradley control software and tools is required.
• Knowledge of electrical and safety codes for machine design including risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Concept, design, develop and engineer products that add value for customers and markets.
• Collaborate with the development team to design and review products.
• Ensure products fit with current and future manufacturing operations.
• Develop PLC programs and prepare control panel schematics.
• Maintain project schedules and cost estimates; follow engineering standards.
• Perform prototype development, testing, and on-site beta testing for safety and reliability.
• Investigate field issues and determine root causes; travel up to 30%.
