Job summary

Refresco Beverages US Inc. seeks a Controls Engineer to lead PLC/HMI/SCADA modernization and training for controls technicians. You will troubleshoot, implement predictive maintenance, and drive continuous improvement across US facilities.

The role requires Rockwell Automation PLC programming, Ethernet/IP, and SQL Server experience; travel up to 50%. You will collaborate with vendors, design control schemes, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electronics, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Rockwell Automation or equivalent PLC, VFD, HMI, and Servo System programming and troubleshooting expert.
• PLC programming utilizing RS Logix 5, 500, 5000, and FactoryTalk Studio software.
• Device Net and Ethernet I/P knowledge will be key for success.
• Remote communication and I/O systems experience.
• Experience in Virtual Network and Thin Clients.
• SQL Server Experience preferred.
• Licensed Industrial Electrician preferred.
• Experience in food processing, bottling and packaging preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot controls automation system issues using PLCs, HMIs, Ethernet networks, and I/O networks.
• Perform PdM analysis and issue PM work orders to prevent breakdowns and identify root causes.
• Analyze performance trends and drive root-cause corrective actions.
• Lead continuous improvement to improve plant performance and machine reliability.
• Coordinate installation of new equipment to optimize production efficiency.
• Develop training plans to improve the skills of Controls Technicians, Electricians, and Instrumentation Technicians.
• Develop P&IDs, ladder diagrams, and wiring diagrams; prepare construction packages; manage construction.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
