Job summary

Musco Sports Lighting is seeking a Controls & Electronics Technician for our Oskaloosa, IA office. The role focuses on frontline technical support and troubleshooting for Musco products, servicing warranty and non-warranty items, and ensuring ongoing operation.

The position requires an electronics-related degree or equivalent experience and strong knowledge of electrical systems, with emphasis on communication networks and power applications.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in electronics preferred or equivalent experience.
• 3 years’ experience in electrical installations and troubleshooting in commercial or light industrial environment a plus.
• Experience with control systems, project management, and technical support is a plus.
• Knowledge of technical lingo associated with electronic systems and/or communications including cellular, Ethernet, fiber, and networking or ability to learn.
• Knowledge of single phase and three phase electrical power and DC electrical applications or ability to learn.
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem solving skills.
• Strong internet and computer experience including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to work under deadlines and multi-task with pressure.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize issues/projects; strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of Musco systems, products, and services a plus.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code and Standards a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline telephone support for technical problem solving and electrical troubleshooting to customers and internal teams.
• Identify and report product performance issues and help develop processes for upfront detection and troubleshooting.
• Work with the internal Musco team to maintain high-quality customer service.
• Manage product performance issues from first contact through resolution.
• Utilize Musco computer applications for logging, tracking, and routing of service orders.
