Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks an electrical installer to perform installation and checkout on various systems. You will work under supervision with Prime electrical contractors and develop a positive interface with customers to ensure confidence in the installation.

Responsibilities include installing raceways, wiring, and control equipment, while aiding in cost-effective layouts and providing accurate field documentation. Strong drawing interpretation and local code knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Electrical apprenticeship or formal training in electrical installation techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Working knowledge of local codes as it applies to controls.
• Ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install and checkout on a variety of systems under supervision, using codes, drawings and analysis.
• Collaborate with Prime electrical contractors as needed.
• Develop a positive interface with customers to ensure confidence and satisfaction with installations.
• Install raceways, cables and wiring to meet codes and customer system requirements.
• Lay out electrical controls installation to minimize total installed cost.
• Mount and terminate controls equipment; assist sales with electrical estimates as needed.
• Verify final termination points and test wiring with instruments.
• Provide timely updates on job progress and issues; complete on-site paperwork.
