Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC Electrical Controls Installer to perform routine installation and checkout on a variety of building systems. You will work under supervision, interfacing with prime electrical contractors and customers to ensure satisfaction and compliance with codes.

Responsibilities include installing raceways, mounting controls equipment, assisting with estimates, and documenting site progress. Safety adherence and clear communication are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Electrical apprenticeship or formal training in installation techniques.
• Journeyman electrical licensure is required or strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Working knowledge of local electrical codes for controls installation.
• Capable of estimating scope and working independently on site.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine installation and checkout on diverse systems under supervision.
• Install raceways, cables, and wiring to meet codes and customer requirements.
• Mount and terminate control equipment; assist with electrical estimates.
• Check wiring with test instruments; document progress and issues.
• Maintain safety practices and complete on-site paperwork.
