Job summary

National Bulk Equipment, Inc. is seeking a Controls Design Engineer in Holland, MI to create detailed electrical schematics and documentation for bulk material handling equipment and integrated systems.

You will collaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, and sales engineers to understand project scope and ensure compliance with customer specifications and applicable standards. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of AutoCAD Electrical experience, with additional familiarity in E-Plan,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with AutoCAD Electrical or similar electrical CAD software.
• Experience with E-Plan is a plus.
• Solid understanding of AC/DC electrical systems, safety systems, and automation components.
• Working knowledge of NEC/NFPA codes is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams is preferred.
• Experience in PLC programming is a plus.
• Familiarity with UL 508A control panel requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed electrical/control schematics and documentation.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, and sales/application engineers to understand project scope and requirements.
• Ensure electrical design outputs meet customer specifications and engineering standards.
• Participate in design reviews and propose improvements for functionality, efficiency, or cost.
