Job summary
IREN in Childress, TX is seeking a Construction Supervisor - Controls / Automation to lead field installation, integration, and verification of BMS, PLCs, DDC, and field instrumentation for data center infrastructure. You will supervise crews and subcontractors, coordinate across trades, and drive commissioning activities to meet project milestones.
Ideal candidates have a Journeyman Electrician license, 5+ years in commercial/industrial building automation, and strong knowledge of control
Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician License.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial or industrial building automation and controls, incl. 2+ years in supervision.
- Experience supervising installation and integration of controls in data centers, HVAC, or critical environments.
- Strong knowledge of industrial control systems and networking protocols.
- OSHA 30 certification required; First Aid/CPR and safety certifications preferred.
- Leadership, communication, documentation, and conflict-resolution skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and supervise controls technicians, integration specialists, and subcontractors across the project.
- Plan daily activities, assign crews, coordinate with trades, and monitor productivity to hit milestones safely and on schedule.
