Job summary

Vantage Data Centers LLC is seeking an Automation Construction Manager to lead planning, installation, integration, and commissioning of automation and controls systems for mission critical data center projects in Texas.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years directing automation construction, with hands-on BAS/BMS/SCADA experience and strong project management skills, including contractor oversight and budget control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Automation, Controls Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience managing automation, controls, or mission critical construction projects.
• Experience with BAS, BMS, and SCADA platforms is required.
• Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus and industrial communication protocols is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate automation and controls activities with MEP, CSA, commissioning, and operations teams.
• Review automation design packages, control schematics, panel layouts, SCADA architecture, and network diagrams.
• Manage construction and installation of control panels, field devices, instrumentation, sensors, actuators, and communication networks.
• Oversee startup and commissioning of AHUs, CRAHs/CRACs, cooling towers, chiller plants, pumps, and environmental controls.
• Lead contractors and vendors, ensuring commissioning milestones and IST readiness.
• Develop schedules, budgets, risk logs, and progress reporting for automation projects.
