Job summary

IREN is seeking a Construction Support - Controls / Automation professional to assist in field installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of BMS, PLCs, and related automation for data center infrastructure.

This role requires 2+ years in automation or related field, a Journeyman Electrician License, and strong collaboration with controls, electrical, mechanical, and commissioning teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Journeyman Electrician License is required.
High school diploma or equivalent is required; Associate or Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
Minimum 2 years in building automation, electrical/mechanical controls, or related field.
Familiarity with building management systems, PLCs, DDC, and control panels.

Responsibilities

Assist with field installations, testing, and commissioning of BMS/PLC/DDC systems.
Observe and document field progress, safety, quality, and installation status.
Coordinate with controls, electrical, mechanical, and commissioning teams to resolve issues.
Conduct field walkdowns and assist with commissioning and testing activities.
Prepare daily reports and report findings to leadership.
