Job summary

Hargrove is seeking an Controls & Automation Engineer II to design and implement DCS/PLC/HMI/SIS projects. You will work under supervision to support larger automation initiatives and lead smaller projects as needed.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s or master’s in engineering, be EIT-registered, and have at least 1 year of industrial controls experience. Candidate should be familiar with multiple control systems and standards such as ISA S88, IEC 61131, ISA S84, and OSHA 1910.119.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in engineering required; EIT registration required.
• Professional Engineering (PE) registration preferred on eligibility.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant industrial controls experience.
• Ability to implement ISA S88, IEC 61131, ISA S84, and OSHA 1910.119 standards.
• Experience with multiple control systems (DCS/PLC/HMI/SIS) or deep knowledge of at least one major system.

Responsibilities

• Design routine automation assignments and assist larger projects.
• Provide on-site startup support and technical guidance to junior staff.
• Coordinate with staff and leadership for project execution.
• Produce installation specifications and conceptual layouts.
• Read and interpret PFDs, P&IDs, and instrument loop sheets.
