Job summary

Vertiv Corporation in Westerville, Ohio is seeking a Controls Application Engineer to act as the primary interface between customers, sales engineering and the global Application team for the AMER DX / CW / EDGE product line.

You will ingest AMER-specific requirements, generate ETO configurations, create Sequences of Operation (SOO) and translate regional needs into Kanban initiatives that align with the global PA baseline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3–5 years of HVAC controls engineering experience in precision cooling/data center environments.
• Experience generating ETO configurations and SOO documentation.
• Proficiency in structured text (IEC 61131-3) and/or C/C++.
• Familiarity with Modbus, BACnet, and SNMP protocols.
• Ability to create clear, customer-facing Sequences of Operation documentation.
• US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Interface as the technical controls interface for AMER Sales Engineering and customers.
• Respond to pre-sales inquiries regarding controls capabilities and integration.
• Support bid/proposal activities with SOO documentation and feasibility assessments.
• Provide post-sales application support including commissioning guidance and field issue triage.
• Coordinate with the global Application team to align AMER initiatives with the global baseline.
• Capture AMER requirements and translate them into structured Kanban initiatives.
