Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Controls Application Engineer in Westerville, Ohio, to support the AMER DX / CW / EDGE product line. This role involves acting as the primary interface between customers and the global Application team, focusing on custom software configurations and technical support.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, 3-5 years of HVAC controls experience, and proficiency in structured text and C/C++. Strong communication skills are essential as the role bridges technical concepts for customer understanding.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in HVAC controls application engineering, preferably in data center environments.
• Experience generating ETO configurations or custom application variants for thermal/HVAC products.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills to translate technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical controls interface for AMER Sales Engineering and customers.
• Generate ETO software application variants based on customer-specific requirements.
• Collaborate with the global Application team to ensure AMER initiatives integrate cleanly.
