Job summary

Plug Technologies Inc. is seeking a Staff-level Controller to build and own the accounting function. Based on Sawtelle on-site in Los Angeles, you will manage the close, audit-day-to-day activities, and transition work from outsourced to in-house processes.

Reports to the VP of Finance and holds an individual contributor role. You’ll oversee GAAP close, intercompany, revenue recognition per ASC 606, and treasury activities with a mix of AI-enabled automation and data-driven controls.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience at a high-growth company.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge including ASC 606 and multi-entity consolidation.
• Experience leading a first audit or day-to-day audit activities.
• Lender reporting experience and funds-flow/treasury exposure.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly GAAP close for Plug Technologies and its dealer subsidiary.
• Manage revenue recognition for owned and consigned vehicles under ASC 606.
• Oversee funds in transit, reconciliations, and dealer settlements.
• Prepare monthly borrowing base certificates and covenant calculations.
• Support treasury functions including AP, corporate card program, and cash forecasting.
• Lead audit and diligence processes, building a data room for Series B.
• Coordinate tax work with vendors and manage outsourced close tasks.
