ClarityPay, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Controller to own all accounting, reporting, and compliance. You will be the primary accounting authority, delivering GAAP financials, managing monthly close, and guiding the annual audit as the company scales.

In this player-coach role, you will do the work today while building and leading a small team, ensuring tax and regulatory readiness and robust internal controls as we expand in fintech lending.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• 8–12 years in progressive accounting with public accounting.
• Experience in fintech, lending, or financial services; familiarity with ASC 310, CECL/ASC 326 strongly preferred.
• Proven experience managing a full monthly close and leading an external audit.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge including revenue recognition, debt, and lease accounting.
• Experience coordinating tax compliance (federal, state, local).
• Hands-on with accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite); lean environment.
• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills and multitasking ability.
• Strong communication to non-finance stakeholders and the board.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare GAAP financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Manage full monthly close process with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Lead annual external audit and ensure audit readiness.
• Oversee federal/state/local tax compliance and planning with advisors.
• Maintain internal controls and regulatory compliance.
• Own the accounting tech stack and ensure data flows into the GL.
